Bumble’s sponsorship of Black Love Summit and Black Love’s Inaugural Honors Brunch is an extension of their belief in safe spaces, the power of choice, and the beauty that is love. We know how scary dating apps and the dating process in general can be, but Bumble understands how intricate the dating experience can also be for Black women. Their dating app empowers new connections, built on the belief that when dating is better for women, it’s better for everyone. Engineered for and by women, Bumble believes that everyone deserves to feel good — and excited — by the dating experience. From the first match to the first chat, first date, and beyond, Bumble brings the magic back to every connection as they create a world where ALL relationships are healthy and equitable. This year, Bumble is speaking directly to the Black community via their content series “Luv2SeeIt” — a series that helped to unpack all the shades of Black love from the perspectives of Black daters.

Recently, singer and producer Teyana Taylor spoke with actors and mother-daughter duo Niecy and Dia Dash about their online dating journeys, the importance of forming real connections, and how dating outside of what’s expected can be rewarding.

Niecy as a mother, sister, and wife to singer Jessica Betts, has shown that she is truly the embodiment of what it is to be and give love. During Black Love Honors, Nash hosted the inaugural brunch with Bumble as an event sponsor and had these words to say about sisterhood, love, and what taking a chance on love has meant to her life as she was surprised with the Love Ambassador Award.

“Love is the thing that we were created for. I knew I was called to be a wife. They say man plans and God laughs — I did not see it coming, but I’m grateful that with all the hard and broken days that I’ve had that my heart still said, ‘I’m ready to receive.’” as she spoke on her union with “hersband” Jessica.
