Hosted in Los Angeles at Black Love’s headquarters, the summit provided a space to explore love, family, vulnerability, and joy, with powerful moments shared on stage by Black stars and thought leaders.
“If you're dating someone who doesn't have the same intentions with you, I think it's very important to be realistic and honest with yourself. Understand you can't change that person's mind,” Bean says.
“People love Bel Air so much because they feel loved and they feel the forgiveness and the grace that lives in the show in the midst of all the messy drama,” Cassandra Freeman says.
“I knew he was going through some things and I just wanted to reach out to another dad and another brother,” Howery says about Hardrict at the Summit.
“Some people may not understand my humor, my confidence, my compassion, my vulnerability, and if they don't like it, that's okay,” Crawford shares at the 7th annual summit.
“These are two people that are really committed to the work of being in a relationship. Now, if you give us goals for that, that's cool,” Brown revealed at the 7th annual Black Love Summit.
“Voting is part of how we care for ourselves and our community in real time,” Washington said in conversation with Jemele Hill.
