About Jasmin W. Carey

Jasmine W. Carey is a 31-year-old fundraising professional who has always had a way with words. Whether it was composing songs/raps at the age of 8, penning moody poetry as an angsty adolescent, graduating from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in English, or writing grants for the last 10 years, words have been at the center of her expression. Hailing from the Washington, D.C. area as the youngest child in the family, she is now embarking on creating a family of her own. With the loss of her father 5 years ago, recent medical difficulties, and the loss of her ability to have her own biological children, she has reconnected with what drives her. She began documenting these events 2 years ago as a way to heal, but began sharing her experiences to open the door for others and their stories. Jasmine currently lives in Annapolis, Maryland, with her wife Jasmine (JT) and their yorkiepoo, Koba. More additions to the family to come.
