Diddy “Love” Combs hit his famous “Diddy Bop” last night at the VMAs as he performed before receiving the 2023 Global Icon Award but with some special guests, his children! The hip-hop mogul was joined on stage to perform his hit singles “Missing You” and “Mo Money Mo Problems” with his youngest son Christian ‘King’ Combs and twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila Combs! Following the performance, he was presented with his Icon award by his oldest daughter Chance Combs, truly making this an evening filled with family shedding light on a side of Diddy that we love to see.

As Combs accepted his award with his family by his side, he shared his gratitude for being able to wake up and do what he loves for over thirty years and then left the audience and views with these words to inspire everyone to never be afraid to pivot. “I planned on being a football player, and then my leg broke last year. Then I got depressed, and I would be in the clubs dancing in New York doing my Diddy bop, and then people would see me, and they would cast me for videos. That’s how I fell in love with the music industry.”

Truly a message to show us all that there is not only power in pivoting but potentially an opportunity to discover your purpose! Congratulations to Diddy for not just this monumental moment but for his dedication to including his children in his big moments and supporting them as they grow and accomplish their own goals and dreams as well
